A leading company in Castellón de la Plana is seeking a Data Governance Expert. The successful candidate will define and implement Data Governance Frameworks while ensuring compliance with regulations such as GDPR. This role requires strong knowledge in data governance and management as well as experience in data engineering principles.

Formación

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Data Governance functions.
• Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks like GDPR.
• Knowledge of data governance strategies and practices.

• Define and implement the Data Governance Framework to ensure compliance to all relevant internal and external regulations.
• Implement and enhance the Data Catalog as a central tool to create data transparency and to automate Data Governance workflows.
• Contribute to regular Data & Analytics Governance Board to consult and align on Data Governance across projects.
• Act as a Data Governance Subject Matter Expert at MediaMarktSaturn.
• Assess latest market trends and industry best-practices regarding Data Governance.
• Assist in compliance audits for key issues related to GDPR, PII, legal guidance, and other financial regulations.
• Develop, implement and document data policies, standards, and procedures for new data environments as well as for data quality including data catalogs, etc.
• Pro-actively identify opportunities for further improvement of the Data Governance Framework.
• Work in a global, multinational Data & Analytics team in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Your Profile

• University degree in computer sciences or comparable disciplines, ideally with a focus on Data & Analytics and Data Management.
• Knowledge of modern data governance concepts, data modelling and data management.
• Understanding in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Data Engineering and data catalog (e.g., Datahub) tools.
• At least 1 year of experience in Data Governance functions with relevant experience in defining and implementing data governance frameworks, documenting data flow & process mapping, metadata management, Data as a Product Framework, etc.
• At least 1 year of experience in Data engineering principles.
• Experience working with regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR)
• Extensive experience and knowledge of data governance strategies, data quality and data protection management practices.
• Outstanding understanding of technology solutions, and experience creating data management tasks, e.g., glossaries, data modelling and data catalogue
• Being a team player with innovative mindset and hands-on mentality
