As Data Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in major projects, leveraging your management and data engineering expertise to uphold high standards of delivery.

How you will contribute

You will be part of the Data Engineering team (15+ members) within the Data department (30+ members).

• Define the team’s roadmap aligned with business priorities and technical development
• Contribute technically to designing and implementing end-to-end data solutions
• Collaborate with Data Analysts and stakeholders to enable data-driven decisions
• Grow your team and foster a positive, productive culture
• Partner with software engineers to ensure data quality and compliance

What to expect at Pennylane

Within one month:

• Complete onboarding and learn about our vision and teams
• Meet your team and start managing technical and personnel topics
• Familiarize with our stack and complete small projects

Within three months:

• Take full ownership of your team
• Manage your roadmap and prioritize tasks independently
• Become comfortable with our technical stack (AWS, Terraform, streaming, etc.)

Within six months:

• Engage in cross-team initiatives
• Collaborate with Product and Tech teams on the roadmap
• Work on improving our data stack and platform

Beyond six months: The data team will continue to grow, offering opportunities to recruit, mentor, lead projects, and improve processes.

Our recruitment process:

• Initial interview with Talent Acquisition
• Case study discussion (75 min)
• Review of past projects (60 min)
• Interview with Tech & Product leaders (60 min)

We aim to complete this within 15-25 days.
