Formación

The Role

OpenData Clinical is global reference data on sites and investigators.

As one of our data engineers, you will be the subject matter expert for questions regarding the OpenData Clinical data pipeline structure and quality. You will ensure the data we use meets the product goal and provide comprehensive data analysis for various stakeholders. You will work closely with product management, data operations, data governance, software engineering, and quality assurance teams.

To thrive in your role, you need hands-on experience managing large databases and complex data sets. You are detail-oriented, have a growth mindset, and can turn data into valuable insights. You communicate effectively with stakeholders and can deliver high-quality results within tight timelines.

What You'll Do
  1. Optimize existing data tools to streamline data operations
  2. Develop a data validation framework to automate quality control processes
  3. Identify data gaps and quality issues from large data sets and provide root cause analysis
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions to complex problems
  5. Perform ad hoc analysis and create customized reports for stakeholders
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience as a data analyst or data engineer, including 1 year in a senior or leadership role
  • Proven track record delivering complex data analytics projects that inform business decisions
  • Advanced SQL skills and proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation and automation
  • Skilled in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Based in Spain or Portugal
Nice to Have
  • Experience with life sciences data
  • Experience with cloud data tools
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques
  • Ability to create and maintain automated reporting systems
