Job summary

BASE life science is recruiting a Data Engineer to join the Data Insights & Analytics team. You will design, build, and automate robust data pipelines for efficient collection, storage, transformation, and processing.

You will partner with analysts, privacy, QA, and domain experts in the pharmaceutical sector to enable advanced analytics across projects. You will use Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, SQL, Python, and PySpark to deliver reliable, end-to-end data solutions and ensure data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years hands-on Data Engineer experience, preferably in pharma domain.
• 2+ years experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory or similar cloud data platforms; relevant certifications are a plus.
• 2+ years experience in Python or similar scripting languages.
• Proficient in SQL and relational databases; experience with Azure data services and Databricks.

Responsibilities

• Build, implement, and automate data ingestion pipelines from diverse sources with proper transformations.
• Develop data processing solutions using Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, SQL, Python, and PySpark.
• Apply data quality practices to ensure high-quality data for downstream systems.
• Incorporate error handling, monitoring, and data lineage for end-to-end traceability.
• Design end-to-end tests to verify pipelines across data scenarios.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data privacy, QA, and business analysts.
