Job DetailsWe are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our global IT D&A team at Cencora. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines on our Databricks platform, ensuring that our data is accessible, reliable, and scalable to meet the needs of various teams across Europe and the United States. This role is critical for enabling data-driven decision-making in a dynamic and fast-paced organization.
Responsibilities
Design and Implementation of Data Pipelines:Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines on Databricks using technologies likeApache Spark,Delta Lake, and cloud-based services.
Ensure efficient integration and flow of data from multiple internal and external sources.
Optimize the performance and scalability of data pipelines.
Configure and manage Databricks environments in collaboration with PE and DevOps teams.
Work closely with cross-functional teams across Europe and the United States to understand their data needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.
Promote standardization in data usage and management across regions.
Implement best practices fordata quality, including validation, cleansing, and contiuous monitoring.
Ensure compliance with international data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR in Europe)
Automation and Continuous Improvement:
Automate data ingestion and transformation processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
Identify and propose enhancements to existing systems and data engineering processes.
Documentation and Training:
Document architectures, processes, and workflows related to the data platform.
Collaborate in training internal teams on the proper use of data tools and resources.

Requirements
Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
Proven experience (3+ years) as a Data Engineer in multinational environments or global projects.
Hands-on experience with theDatabricksplatform and related technologies such asApache SparkandDelta Lake.
Deep knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (SQL, NoSQL).
Experience with cloud services (AWS,Azure, orGoogle Cloud).
Proficiency in programming languages such asPythonand/orScalafor data processing.
Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools.
Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and designing scalable data architectures.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multicultural and distributed teams in Europe and the United States.
Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Attention to detail and focus on delivering high-quality outputs.
