We work with a group of top IT experts to achieve real-time, data-driven use cases helping our business grow. The data team are quality-driven and has a passion for analytics and the power of positive changes.You will work closely with BI experts, data engineers, data analysts and other stakeholders to design and maintain data pipelines and models in real-time.**The Job**:- Developing and executing data pipelines in the data analytics platforms to provide accurate data on time (but not big data yet)- Ability to advise stakeholders on detailed technology and development practice & estimates- Ability to make effective decisions within fast-moving Agile delivery and to lead on troubleshooting- Strong understanding of tools, design methodologies and best practices for data processing- Ability to clearly communicate technical design both written and verbally- Ability to collaborate with other data engineers using version control tools (e.g. Git)- Experience in continuous integration tools and techniques**What you already have**:- Experience with Scala (JVM background welcome), Jenkins and Kubernetes- Creative approach in building data processing flows from scratch- Knowledge about real-time data processing (streaming; Apache Kafka)- Relational databases (PostgreSQL)- Supporting tools (JIRA, GIT, Confluence, CI/CD)**Nice to have**- AWS Cloud (S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda, Redshift)- Apache Spark- Data processing edge (Databricks, Alteryx, Apache AirFlow, SNS, SQS, EMR)**How we approach things**:- Medium-sized company with a start-up culture and a can-do ethos.- We focus on getting stuff done and supporting each other to achieve common and individual goals.- Working remotely but communicating regularly.- Open-door policy across all levels and departments.- An inclusive environment with staff from all around the world.**What we offer**:- A remote and flexible working schedule.- Generous time off varied based on the country of residence.- Training on the job.- Opportunity to progress within the company, not limited to one department or team.- Hardware & Software allowance or work equipment is provided to make sure you have all the right tools to get the job done.**Job Types**: Full-time, ContractWork Location: Remote
