Descripción del empleo

We are seeking a data engineer with experience in Spark, Kafka, and related technologies to join our team. The ideal candidate should be proficient in reading, refactoring, and testing Spark code following best practices. Knowledge of Kafka architecture patterns and strategies for scaling them is essential. Familiarity with data lake, data warehouse, and delta lake concepts is a plus, as well as staying updated with data engineering trends.

Qualifications:

1. Experience in Scala and Spark, or Java with an interest in Scala. Prior experience with functional programming is not required, as our code is written in an object-oriented style.
2. Experience with real-time technologies like Kafka (KStreams and KSql) and Spark Streaming is preferred.
3. Familiarity with Terraform and AWS is a plus.
4. Comfortable with pair programming and remote collaboration.
5. Willingness to learn and adapt to various technologies in our stack, including Node.js, Python, React, MongoDB, MySQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, and AWS services.
6. Strong communication, self-management, respect, and inclusiveness skills for remote work environment.
