Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Operations Technician to support our global infrastructure in Spain. You will diagnose and repair hardware, manage network issues, and participate in 24/7 shift operations to keep services available worldwide.

You will lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds, follow safety standards, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve complex incidents. This role requires a Bachelor's degree and hands-on networking and Linux experience.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience in computer networking.
• Experience working with Linux operating systems.
• Ability to lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose hardware and network problems and perform physical repairs.
• Troubleshoot events within SLAs.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Lift and rack equipment up to 40 lbs.
• Work rotating shifts (morning/late/night) including weekends to maintain 24/7 data center operations.
• Participate in on-call rotation for off-duty emergencies.

Key Job Responsibilities

As a Data Center Technician you will troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of infrastructure issues, including hardware, fiber, networking, and related problems. You will be the primary resolver for your support team and will collaborate with other solution groups on more complex cases.

Safety

Follow and maintain the highest safety standards; encourage a world‑class safety culture and own safety initiatives.

• Diagnose hardware and network problems and perform physical repairs.
• Troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Lift and rack equipment up to 40 lbs.
• Work rotating shifts (morning/late/night) as well as weekends to maintain the 24/7 data center environment.
• Participate in on‑call rotation for off‑duty emergency calls.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience in computer networking.
• Experience working with Linux operating systems.
• Ability to lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work in cramped spaces or elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines.
• Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
• Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
• Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
• Experience working in a data center environment (racking, stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment).
