The Role

We are seeking a Data Architect to design a data platform on Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure, adhering to best practices in design, building, and maintaining large-scale data warehouses, and ensuring data quality at scale on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, or Azure.

Responsibilities

1. Design strategy, gather client requirements, and develop plans to feed data platforms following compliance standards.
2. Lead a team of data engineers to implement these proposals.
3. Maintain communication with both technical and non-technical colleagues to derive technical requirements from business needs and problems.

Who You Are

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience in data warehousing and data lake design patterns.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining large-scale data warehouses and ensuring data quality at scale on GCP, Azure, or AWS.
• Hands-on experience with data services such as BigQuery, Composer, Dataform, DataProc, Pub/Sub, etc.
• Expertise in data mining, storage, and ETL processes.
• Proficiency in Pyspark, Python, and SQL programming.
• Knowledge of BI tools like Looker or Power BI for visualization and reporting.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• BS, MS, or PhD in Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Experience with other data environments such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, or AWS.
• Knowledge of DevOps/DataOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting tools.
