The IT company Andersen invites an experienced Data Analyst to join its team for working with a company from Germany.

The customer is a global leader in the design, engineering, and delivery of high-tech facilities. It specializes in controlled and regulated environments, providing solutions for the semiconductor, life sciences, and chemical industries, as well as data centers. The company has significantly expanded its presence worldwide, especially in Europe and the USA, with strong growth in sales and order intake.

The project is the development from scratch of a web-based application for manpower forecasting, project management, resource management, and budgeting, while also offering a wide range of reports to track resource utilization and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Collecting requirements related to data quality, defining DQ metrics to be collected and tracked.
  • Compiling a comprehensive list of all data sources and assets (databases and data stores).
  • Identifying and listing all data entities, their formats, foreign keys, indexes, storage locations, and their attributes.
  • Describing and documenting the logic of stored procedures and functions (and triggers if any).
  • Documenting the structure, schema, and format of data loaded from the integration points or traversing the systems (APIs, DB links, files) and is the subject of focus.
  • Mapping data flows between systems and processes by digging deeper into the semantic data model.
  • Determining the list and scope of the OLTP entities to be reengineered (database names, schemas, modified tables / columns, new tables / columns).
  • Reviewing data entities to identify sensitive information.
  • Tagging data elements containing Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
  • Identifying data that falls under GDPR terms and conditions.
  • Classifying data entities as Master, Transactional, or Reference data.
  • Documenting the purpose and usage of each data category.
  • Categorizing data entities as Static, Slowly Changed, or Frequently Changed.
  • Assessing the rate of change and update frequency for each data entity.
  • Determining the list and scope of the entities to be relocated from OLTP to OLAP.
  • Preparing mapping tables to itemize physical specifications for data migrated from the old database towards the new OLTP schema, including data transformation rules.
  • Preparing mapping tables to itemize physical specifications for data moving from the replicated OLTP sources to OLAP destinations, including data transformation rules.

Must-haves:

  • Experience as a Data Analyst for 3+ years.
  • Experience on the project from scratch.
  • Strong technical expertise.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills to work with stakeholders.
  • Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
