About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Analyst and Data Visualisation Expert to support the data science and analytics team focused on Direct To Consumer data products. The ideal candidate is a great storyteller and a strong technical contributor with experience solving business problems using data-driven tools. You will be responsible for delivering analytical products including analyses, dashboards, insights, and recommendations, with a focus on clickstream data. Your role involves collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to enhance strategic decision-making and track the benefits of data products. A high level of curiosity about the business and the ability to discover impactful insights from data are essential. You should communicate insights effectively to build confidence and enable data-driven decisions that create business value.

Responsibilities

  1. Conduct analysis to estimate the expected value of data products. Measure and track benefits created by these products, translating them into financial metrics or key KPIs.
  2. Support business stakeholders and regional data analysts by understanding their needs and providing guidance and support.
  3. Create dashboards to monitor adoption and business impact of launched features and data products.
  4. Investigate complex business problems and provide insights on digital features and AI model performance through hypothesis testing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on implementation.
  5. Partner with data science, data analytics, and product managers on planning, goal setting, and prioritization.
  6. Work with data and engineering teams to improve instrumentation, reporting on product/model health, and conduct pre/post analysis and business debugging.
  7. Collaborate with the A/B testing team to design experiments and analyze results post-hoc.
  8. Present data insights through storytelling in a clear and engaging manner to audiences with varying technical expertise to inform strategic decisions.
  9. Promote a culture of data-driven technical excellence, ownership, and collaboration.

Your Background

  1. At least 3 years of professional experience analyzing complex data, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations.
  2. Over 3 years of applied experience in data visualization using tools like Tableau and PowerBI.
  3. Experience in extracting and manipulating large datasets from relational databases such as Amazon Redshift, Oracle, or Google BigQuery.
  4. Proficiency in at least one statistical or programming language (R or Python preferred) for data analysis.
  5. Hands-on experience working with big data, especially clickstream data, in sectors like ecommerce, gaming, or social networks. Ecommerce experience is a plus.
  6. Ability to translate complex analysis into executive summaries and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  7. Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Data Engineering, or related fields; Master’s degree is a plus or equivalent experience.
