Schwarz Global Services Barcelona is seeking a proactive Data Engineer to build and operate scalable data pipelines for analytics and ML. You will contribute to cloud-based data solutions, emphasize performance and security, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile setting.

The role requires a degree in computer science or equivalent, with experience in Python/Scala/Java, SQL and big data tools like Spark. Barcelona-based, on-site, with opportunities for growth.

Formación

• Degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Interest in data engineering and software development.
• Experience with cloud, containerization and big data; ideally Azure, Kubernetes and Spark.
• Experience with SQL.
• Experience developing data pipelines (batch and streaming).
• Experience with at least one programming language (Python, Scala, Java).
• Knowledge of the software development cycle and its best practices (e.g. CI/CD, DevOps, testing).
• Analytical, agile mindset, independence and hands-on mentality.

Your Profile

• Completed degree in computer science or talented newcomer
• Enthusiasm for the topic of data engineering and software development
• Experience in cloud, containerization and big data, ideally with MS Azure, Kubernetes and Spark
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with developing data pipelines (batch, streaming)
• Experience with at least one programming language (Python, Scala, Java)
• Knowledge of the software development cycle and its best practices (e.g. CI/CD, DevOps, testing)
• Analytical skills, agile mindset, independence and hands-on mentality
