Sanofi in Barcelona is seeking a Data Engineer within the Manufacturing & Supply Digital organization to build data foundations for AI-first initiatives and to turn data into insights that accelerate medicines and vaccines.

You will design scalable data pipelines, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and promote best practices in CI/CD, data governance and documentation while contributing to global data platforms. Fluent English is expected; life sciences experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing or BI.
• Proficient in Spark/Scala, Python, SQL and data modeling.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake) and orchestration (Airflow).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Fluent English; other languages are a plus.

• Propose and design data architectures meeting business and technical requirements.
• Build, optimize and maintain data and ETL pipelines for production.
• Organize large data assets and analyze them to unlock business value.
• Collaborate with business and product teams to translate needs into technical solutions.
• Promote best practices in code management, CI/CD and deployments.
• Coach fellow data engineers and conduct peer reviews.
• Create documentation for knowledge transfer and maintenance.
• Contribute to data engineering community and best practices.
• Communicate results while ensuring data quality and governance.
