Job summary

Hack in Hire is seeking a Cybersecurity Platform Engineer to join our client’s offices in Spain. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and develop security tools and infrastructure, focusing on RHEL and Windows environments, and you will design automation and patch management processes.

You will work with security, networking, architecture, and DevOps teams, build complex pipelines in Azure DevOps, and strengthen our CI/CD practices while communicating fluently in English (B2+).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT infrastructure engineering experience.
• Advanced Linux (RHEL) automation and troubleshooting.
• Basic Windows Server knowledge (AD, GPO, automation).
• Experience with automation tools: Ansible, PowerShell DSC, Bash/PowerShell.
• Strong Azure and CI/CD knowledge (Azure DevOps Pipelines, YAML).
• Hands-on with EDR solutions (Microsoft Defender for Endpoint).
• Hands-on with SIEM platforms (Splunk, Sentinel, Elastic, ArcSight, Chronicle).
• Fluent English (minimum B2).

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Cybersecurity Platform Engineer to join our clients offices Spain.

Your key responsibilities

As a Cybersecurity Platform Engineer, you will:

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and develop security tools.
• Implement and develop new solutions.
• Create and maintain documentation.
• Perform advanced maintenance and development of RHEL and Windows-based infrastructure.
• Design and optimize patch management processes and automation solutions.
• Create complex pipelines and integrations within Azure DevOps / Azure environment.
• Collaborate cross-team with security, networking, architecture, and DevOps teams.

What are we looking for?

• You have at least 5 years of engineering experience in IT infrastructure roles.
• You have advanced knowledge of Linux (RHEL) – automation, troubleshooting, performance tuning.
• You have at least basic knowledge of Windows Server – Active Directory, Group Policy, automation.
• You have experience with automation tools and technologies (Ansible, PowerShell DSC, Bash/PowerShell scripting).
• You have strong knowledge of Azure and CI/CD practices (Azure DevOps Pipelines, YAML).
• Hands-on experience with EDR solutions, preferably Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (e.g. Splunk, Sentinel, Elastic, ArcSight, Chronicle).
