At ING, we are looking for a Cybersecurity Expert.
Your role and work environment:
We seek a talented and enthusiastic Cybersecurity Expert to join our Security Team of the CISO. ING adopts an integrated approach to security, with cyber and physical security squads working together towards the shared goal of keeping the bank safe and secure. We are looking for a threat hunter comfortable in both cyber and physical realms.
Your mission:
- Analyze threat actors to enhance detection catalog and hunt missions, leveraging the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
- Review intelligence sources (local and global, covering physical and logical security) and turn reports into actionable improvement proposals.
- Conduct manual and automated tests to identify potential security threats in ING assets, both internal and external. Main processes include:
- Threat hunting
- Vulnerability assessment and penetration testing
- OSINT investigations
- Physical security tests
- Investigate attacker TTPs to improve security event monitoring
- Monitor attacks and intrusions internally
- Hunt fake mobile applications and banking malware
- Secure IT infrastructure
- Fraud assessment in branches
- Provide consultancy and lead/assist complex customer programs
- Offer technical support within your expertise to cross-disciplinary teams
- Problem resolution and project management
Your key responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled security tests on systems and processes
- Proactively review ING environment to identify security gaps
- Stay updated on industry threat hunting standards, analyze impacts, and collaborate on risk mitigation
- Continuously analyze ING’s threat landscape and propose mitigations
- Manage law enforcement and court requirements, channeling them appropriately
- Assess business impact of technical risks with stakeholders

- Background in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or Criminology with strong IT skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or related fields
- Experience in risk advisory services, information security, and IT risk management
- Proficiency in English
- Ability to work in an international environment
- Knowledge of cybersecurity tools, OSINT, and hunting tools
- Lateral thinking and hacking mindset
- Certifications like OCSP, CEH, CHFI, or CISSP are advantageous
