The dashboards inform senior stakeholders about the current cybersecurity threat landscape and support data-driven decision-making. Customer is operating in a complex (Cyber Log) data ingest environment with 40+ different data sources and is migrating existing reports into a new, standardized environment; in parallel, senior management identified new KPI requirements. Consultant need to operate in this complex environment.

The consultant will work closely with security analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to integrate, model, and visualize cybersecurity data from multiple sources (e.g., SOAR, ElasticSearch, cloud logs). The role requires strong expertise in data pipelines, security analytics, and (AWS, Snowflake, DataBricks) cloud-based environments, with a focus on usability, performance, and actionable insights.

Objectives & Goals

  • Being the bridge/moderator between the Cyber security specialists and the Data specialists, translating requirements into executable concepts.
  • Deliver a scalable and maintainable security dashboard suite integrated into the client’s data stack.
  • Enable data-driven decisions through real-time visibility of the cybersecurity landscape.
  • Improve transparency, reduce incident response times, and align reporting with executive needs.
  • Provide sustainable architecture and monitoring to ensure long-term system performance.

Key Responsibilities

Security Analytics Development

  • Design and develop interactive dashboards for cyber incident statistics, threat detection, and incident response KPIs.
  • Integrate and process data from security tools such as SOAR platforms and cloud-based logging solutions.
  • Continuously improve data quality, standardization, and monitoring of inconsistencies.
  • Design and implement ETL pipelines and scalable data flows in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Refactor and modularize legacy dashboard components to streamline performance and maintainability.
  • Ensure operational reliability, including deployment optimization, relaunch procedures, and monitoring.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Reporting

  • Collect and consolidate dashboard requirements from diverse business and technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity and IT teams to ensure dashboards meet real business needs.
  • Generate management-level reports and summaries on cybersecurity metrics and incident developments.

Security & Access Control

  • Implement access management and SSO measures for dashboard access.
  • Ensure dashboards adhere to internal security standards and protect sensitive data appropriately.

Critical Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 3–6 years of experience in data engineering, cybersecurity analytics, or full-stack dashboard development.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure), data visualization, and ETL tools.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, incident reporting metrics, and SOAR platforms.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and dashboard development (e.g., with ElasticSearch, Kibana, JS frameworks).
  • Strong analytical and collaboration skills; ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.

Work Arrangement

  • Location: Spain (with some travel to Barcelona).
