Who You’ll Become

The Customer Success Manager (CSM) works directly with customers to guide them through their business journey with our solutions. The CSM aims to increase customer satisfaction, retention, renewals, references, and upsells for Cloud products within their assigned portfolio. They oversee key milestones from deal signature through system provisioning, monitoring implementation, and achieving business cases. The CSM serves as the strategic point of contact for customers and leverages SAP resources to maintain overall customer health.

What You’ll Do

As a CSM in the SAP Academy for Customer Success, you will be responsible for:

  • Completing a 10-month program combining classroom and field phases to support your role as a customer-facing CSM.
  • Engaging in experiential learning focused on digital transformation, global intelligence, human skills, business and technology acumen, and solution knowledge.
  • Enhancing skills related to your solution portfolio, customer retention, and value realization.
  • Receiving onboarding and mentoring from senior CSM professionals, with opportunities to work behind the scenes and directly with customers.

The program enriches your SAP and customer success knowledge, providing professional experience for your future role. It offers full-time employment from day one with practical learning. Upon successful completion, you will transition into a customer-facing CSM role with ongoing mentoring and coaching.

CSM Focus Areas

Knowledge areas include:

  • SAP Finance & Spend Management (F&S): accounting, procurement, supplier management, cost reduction, efficiency.
  • S/4HANA Finance
  • Finance & Quote to Cash (Q2C)
  • Procurement

Other areas:

  • SAP SuccessFactors (HCM): HR, payroll, talent, employee experience, analytics, workforce planning, sales performance.
  • SAP Supply Chain Management: supply chain, asset management, manufacturing, logistics, product lifecycle.
  • SAP Customer Experience: e-commerce, sales, customer service, marketing.
  • SAP Business Transformation Management: business process management and automation.
  • SAP Business Technology Platform & SAP Data Cloud: data management, analytics, app development, AI, integration, security.

What You Bring

Our hybrid work model involves three days in the office or on-site with customers or partners, with plans for an immersive four-week in-person experience in San Ramon, California, spread across two trips. The final decision on this component will be communicated by Q1 2026.
