The role involves market analysis, strategic insight development, and collaboration with international customers. Candidates should have a strong background in market research and data analysis within the food industry and hold at least a Bachelor's degree. Fluency in English is required.

Overview

The Managed Trade Channel consists of the Organised Trade and the Discount Channel. Accounting for the majority of Europe’s NR it is a critical area of the business where we have to deliver NR & SOM growth. As we look towards the Next Chapter in the Channel’s development we are expanding the central European Sector Team to ensure we are equipped to capitalise on the numerous opportunities we have with our scale International customers. This will require us to elevate our WCCE approach with key international customers who increasingly require a more sophisticated approach led by sound, meaningful insights. A more integrated and consistent approach across Europe is needed. The new role will be responsible for leading our thinking in this critical space, providing customer and shopper insights which support our ongoing efforts to drive executional excellence in all markets. They will play a lead role working with the Channel lead on blueprinting our approach on Global T2Ts, constructing category visions using our 2030 food strategy, and working with our local markets across Europe to generate portfolio expansion opportunities. Functional reporting will be into the Insights team, whilst the day to day operational agenda will be managed with the VP of Managed Trade across Europe.

Responsibilities
  • CHANNEL ANALYSIS: WW Local markets to analyze and interpret channel and sub-channel dynamics and trends to identify opportunities and challenges. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behaviors within the OT and Discount Channels.
  • KEY CUSTOMERS: Lidl (4th biggest customer in Europe), Carrefour, Aldi + Scale Local Discounters
  • KEY MARKETS: Northern Europe (Sp, Fr, DE, NL, Bel), UK, CE (Pol, Rom, SEEB) & Turkey
  • CUSTOMER & SHOPPER INSIGHTS: Gather and analyze data from various sources to provide actionable insights to drive our Category first approach. WW Markets to assist them to develop first class category centric portfolio selling stories
  • T2T / SCALE MEETING SUPPORT: Develop meaningful insights and strategies for key accounts, driving buy in by our International Customers. Support VP Managed Trade with T2T / Insight meetings material delivery
  • DATA MANAGEMENT & REPORTING: Ensure data accuracy and consistency in Perfect Store reporting. Own Discount Channel Portfolio reporting.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, or a related field; Master degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in market research, data analysis, and/or customer insights within the Food & Beverages industry.
  • Experience and knowledge of the European market & Sales Operations.
  • Experience in commercial teams with OT & Discounter channels and customers.
  • English fluency is a must for this role.

  • Collaborative Mindset: Effective in a matrixed environment, working across brand, commercial, insights and trade marketing teams and geographies with both global and local stakeholders.
