A staffing agency in Valencia is seeking a dedicated individual to support sales staff through various clerical and customer service tasks. The role requires excellent communication skills and a high level of accuracy. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, be proficient in Microsoft Office, and be willing to work in a dynamic office environment.
Purpose
To provide sales staff support in an efficient and accurate manner. This entails a high level of verbal and written communication with customers, vendors, and staff.
Principal Accountabilities
· Customer interface via phone or email.
· Contact manufacturers for pricing.
· Enter vendor quotes.
· Enters sales orders, validating entry to customer purchase order.
· Runs open order reports.
· Follow up on open purchase orders.
· Answer phones and distribute faxes.
· Assist customers when possible or refers to appropriate sales associate.
· Assists assigned sales associates with miscellaneous clerical or research tasks.
· Work with other departments as needed to solve issues.
Nature and Scope
This position involves a high element of communication and clerical tasks. Customer service reps are responsible for supporting assigned sales staff and maintaining accurate records.
This position is 100% on-site (not remote) in a busy office environment using standard office equipment. They will need to talk/listen, stand, sit, read written instructions/reports, and type often. They occasionally may need to climb stairs, crouch, kneel, and balance. Mental demands include the ability to adapt well in the face of workplace stressors that are customary in a high paced environment, such as completing deadlines, solving issues, etc.
Background Experience and Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
· The ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
· Computer skills, including the ability to type 30 words per minute; and use Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook.
· Email at a highly proficient level.
· Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills.
· The ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
· The ability to work as part of a team
· Willingness to continue development to self-enhance personal performance.
