Customer Retention Specialist (Work From Home)

Varsity Tutors, a Nerdy company, is seeking international Customer Retention Specialists based in Argentina to join our team! We are innovating the learning experience with advanced technology and offer personalized online and mobile learning platforms connecting students and professionals worldwide. Join us to help individuals achieve their educational goals!

Location: Fully Remote - Based in Argentina

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, with at least 2 evenings and every other weekend required. Operating hours are from 5:00am PDT to 9:00pm PDT, adjusted seasonally.

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in English
  • Experience in account management, client relations, or customer service is a plus
  • Teaching or tutoring experience is preferred but not required
  • High empathy and emotional intelligence
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
  • Conflict management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and multitask
  • Reliable high-speed internet (50 Mbps download, 10 Mbps upload) via wired connection

Responsibilities:

  • Prevent cancellations through solutions-oriented engagement
  • Manage at-risk customers to increase retention
  • Address complaints to improve satisfaction and secure renewals
  • Achieve onboarding, retention, and engagement targets
  • Assess client needs and recommend educational products/services
  • Build strong relationships with students and families
  • Maintain accurate client records
  • Communicate effectively with team and clients
  • Handle challenging situations professionally
  • Implement coaching and feedback for quality improvement
