Customer Order and Fulfillment Specialist, Inbound and Outbound Logistics specialist.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure on-time order fulfillment, invoicing, and collection by coordinating actions with various departments for correct and cost-effective delivery.
- Build effective communication channels with internal and external customers to understand their needs and develop optimal fulfillment strategies, keeping them informed about their order status.
- Maintain a proactive forum with customers to address all parts and information requests with excellence, immediately addressing any deviations from expected service.
- Translate customer parts needs into the supply chain to support both standard and special requests from projects or service sites.
- Establish and manage relationships with GE local legal entities in existing and new countries, defining and improving processes to support parts operations and deliveries, including remote sites.
- Coordinate logistics with LCOE & Warehouse for special needs.
- Assist departments to expedite actions, ensuring timely fulfillment with quality and productivity.
- Regularly report metrics like OTD and order backlog, analyzing reasons for delays and implementing corrective actions.
- Identify potential problems and develop strategies to mitigate risks in parts fulfillment operations.
- Utilize IT systems (Oracle, GE Libraries, ServiceNow, SupportCentral, Office tools) effectively, ensuring accurate data entry and timely updates.
- Lead productivity initiatives to minimize logistics costs.
- Monitor invoicing and collection processes for parts orders.
- Contribute to financial and operational goals by driving fulfillment, productivity, and inventory optimization.
- Participate in IT tool enhancements, promoting simplification, innovation, and digitization aligned with parts objectives.
- Ensure compliance with EHS and other regulations, reporting concerns as needed.
- Manage inbound delivery tracking in OTM, communicating any discrepancies.
- Select appropriate delivery methods for inbound shipments based on demand dates.
- Manage outbound shipments in OTM, especially for countries requiring export customs processing.
- Update transportation matrices to reduce transit times and costs.
- Support fulfillment team with transportation status updates and coordinate exceptional deliveries with the warehouse.
- Supervise transportation-related invoices and ensure proper cost allocation.
Required Qualifications
- Business degree or technical discipline from an accredited institution.
- Extensive experience in parts fulfillment operations within GE Wind Parts.
- Proficiency with Oracle ERP, databases, ServiceNow, and Office IT tools.
- Accountable, proactive, independent worker with strong analytical skills and teamwork experience.
- Fluent in Spanish or German is highly valuable.
