Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center in Barcelona, Spain, to support safe, efficient offshore wind asset operations. You will analyze faults, drive diagnostics, and collaborate with field and engineering teams to maintain turbine performance.

The role covers commissioning and service phases, with remote diagnostics, on-site support as needed, and a commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent wind industry experience.
• Experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays
