As the Global Sr. Director / Director of Sales Compensation at Criteo, you will play a pivotal role in designing and executing incentive strategies that drive results. In this role, you will lead the design and scaling of our Global Sales Compensation function, ensuring alignment with sales goals and strategic vision. You will collaborate closely with Sales Leadership, Finance, Comp & Benefits, and cross-functional teams to define key metrics, drive incentive plan designs, and assess effectiveness regularly. Your expertise in Sales Operations, Compensation Management, and strategic thinking will be crucial in driving performance, fostering continuous improvement, and aligning incentives with business objectives globally.

What will you do as the Global Sales Compensation Director?

As the Global Sales Compensation Sr. Director / Director at Criteo, you will lead a talented team to evolve our sales compensation strategy and execution worldwide. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Designing and Scaling: Develop and expand all aspects of our Global Sales Compensation, including philosophy, design, administration, and analytics. Ensure measurable ROI for compensation programs.
  2. Incentive Planning: Lead annual sales incentive planning, working with sales leadership and finance to define metrics, incentives, quotas, pay mix, accelerators, and OTE.
  3. Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team, set clear goals and KPIs, and identify strategic projects to meet business objectives.
  4. Process Improvement: Enhance sales compensation processes, ensuring transparency and self-service for the field. Develop metrics and reports to evaluate incentive effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  5. Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Sales, HR, and Legal to align sales plans with business metrics, drive focus and behaviors, and meet financial goals.
  6. Stakeholder Management: Build long-term relationships with internal stakeholders, gather feedback, and communicate key metrics to improve performance.
  7. Analytics and Innovation: Use analytics to identify gaps, leverage technology for efficiency, and innovate within sales compensation while maintaining financial integrity.

Who You Are:

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
  • Extensive experience in Sales Operations, Compensation, and Incentive Management.
  • Leadership experience in sales operations or compensation teams, preferably in tech companies.
  • Expertise in incentive plan structures, including quotas, pay mix, OTE, and performance-based pay.
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying complex ideas to executives and sales teams.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess incentive effectiveness and identify gaps.
  • Proficiency in sales tools like Anaplan is a plus.
  • Global perspective with experience across multiple regions and cultures.
  • Ability to align incentives with business strategy and influence stakeholders effectively.
