Position: Baculovirus and Biomass Production and R&D; Technician
Location: Tres cantos

The Production and R&D; Technician will be responsible for activities related to manufacturing carried out in the production rooms under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP): production of cell and baculovirus banks and production of insect biomass inoculated with baculovirus.
He/She will also participate in the production activities of cell and baculovirus banks and in the production of insect biomass inoculated in the R&D.;

The challenge!

Main Accountabilities
GMP Production:
Verify and record compliance with room and equipment conditions before starting manufacturing processes.




Record and document all batch-related operations as indicated in the procedures and relevant guidelines.
Review the material and documentation corresponding to the production process to be carried out.
Execute and record all necessary operations for the generation of the different cell banks, virus banks, preparation of virus inoculation, and inoculation of pupae for biomass generation.
Collect the documentation generated related to batch production.
Collaborate in the drafting and/or modification of production guidelines.
Remove generated waste.
Record and report deviations that occur during the production process and collaborate with Quality Assurance in the investigation of the root cause and the implementation of CAPAs.
Perform in-process controls (IPCs).
Perform and record environmental monitoring during the process.
Clean and disinfect equipment, rooms, and materials involved in the manufacturing process, and record cleaning and disinfection processes in the relevant documentation.




Support the maintenance area in carrying out internal and external activities related to the maintenance of production rooms and equipment.
R&D; Area:
Participate in the production of cell banks, virus banks, and virus inocula.
Perform pupae inoculation for biomass generation.
Participate in the analysis techniques of the generated products (PCR, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, etc.).

What do you need?
Technical studies in health sciences.
Training in cell culture techniques and working under sterile conditions.
Training in the handling of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs).
Knowledge of molecular biology techniques and protein analysis.
