Cloud & Infrastructure Manager – GT Motive
Location: Preferably Galicia (A Coruña), although Madrid could be feasible
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Cloud & Infrastructure Manager to lead the company’s technical infrastructure, security, and operations. The C&I Manager will drive transformation by implementing a scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based infrastructure. This role requires solid expertise in modern software architectures, large and complex databases, networks, security, and DevSecOps.
The Cloud & Infrastructure Manager reports directly to our clients CTO and is a key member of our clients Technology Team. They will collaborate closely with peers to align on a common technology platform and usage.
Key Responsibilities:
Technology Strategy & Development
- Develop and execute a cloud platform strategy ensuring alignment with business goals and corporate directives.
- Ensure efficient development and usage of the common infrastructure in collaboration with group peers.
- Lead and manage the IT infrastructure operations team, ensuring the scalability, security, and maintainability of technology solutions.
Platform Infrastructure Operation
- Manage both the cloud and on-premises infrastructure teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Design and operate modern software deployment practices (CI / CD, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code).
- Ensure a high-performing, mission-critical 24 / 7 IT environment across multiple time zones.
- Lead & coordinate the Network Operations Center (NOC) to maximize performance, reliability, and scalability.
Security, Compliance & Risk Management
- Lead information security operations, including the Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Partner with the CISO to enhance security architecture and regulatory compliance.
- Implement security best practices, zero-trust architecture, and IAM strategies.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with GT executives and stakeholders to prioritize platform investments and drive business innovation.
- Manage the infrastructure budget (cloud and on-premises), ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost-effective operations.
Profile & Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in senior technology leadership roles, including VP of Engineering or VP of Cloud.
- Proven expertise in modern software architectures, Infrastructure-as-Code, PaaS / SaaS architectures, and data management.
Technical & Leadership Skills
- Strong hands-on experience managing cloud platforms (Microservices, API Gateways, event-driven architecture, non-structured databases, etc.).
- Proven experience in managing mission-critical infrastructure in Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP.
- Proficiency in DevSecOps, CI / CD, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi), and Database Management (Oracle).
- Solid knowledge of network and security operations management (Firewalls, Load Balancing, SIEM, etc.).
- Experience with programming languages such as JavaScript (Angular, React), .NET, Java, Python, NodeJS, or TypeScript.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise security and compliance frameworks and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
