This is an exciting opportunity to join Olleco Bunge. As a COUNTRY OPERATIONS MANAGER, you will work closely with the Director of Operations for the UK and Europe to ensure that all depot and company teams meet their KPIs, adhere to safety standards, and drive strategic objectives.

The Country Operations Manager for Spain is responsible for the performance of all Olleco Bunge sites within Spain. Key responsibilities include ensuring safe and efficient operations aligned with budget goals, expanding market share through organic growth and new offerings, and optimizing efficiencies from acquisitions.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • HEALTH & SAFETY : Lead and promote a safety culture across all areas, ensuring depot operations and team activities comply with health and safety policies.
  • COMPLIANCE : Foster a culture of compliance, ensuring adherence to company policies across all sites and teams.
  • PEOPLE MANAGEMENT : Develop the team structure to enhance engagement and retention while achieving business goals safely and compliantly.
  • COACHING : Support team development through coaching approaches.
  • STRATEGY : Collaborate with the Director of Operations to develop and execute effective business strategies that promote growth, margin, and efficiency.
  • GROWTH, REVENUE & MARGINS : Support delivery of growth, revenue, and margin targets through new and existing business.
  • PERFORMANCE : Oversee the performance of depots overall and individually.
  • REPORTING : Attend meetings and present on business performance, successes, and concerns.
  • KPI’s : Use KPIs to monitor performance and trends, and act accordingly.
  • BUDGET : Manage budgets for all depots within Spain.
  • INNOVATION : Identify opportunities for operational innovation.
  • PROJECTS : Lead projects beyond current depots and teams.
  • CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT : Seek ways to improve efficiency across Spanish operations.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE :

  • Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in a related field.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • At least 7 years of experience in Logistics, Industrial, Manufacturing, Commercial, or Project Management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Attention to detail, resilience, and a positive attitude towards challenges.
  • Health and Safety qualification preferred.
  • Willingness to travel (50%).
  • Proven experience in developing depots and businesses in Spain.
  • Strong people management skills to motivate and engage teams.
