Job Description : Country Manager IBERIA – based in Madrid - SPAIN

Position Overview :

As the Country Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the growth and success of our operations in Spain. You will lead and manage a team, collaborate with department directors, and ensure the implementation of our company's strategies and goals in the country. Your role will involve strategic planning, business development, client management, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategy and Planning :

  1. Apply, develop, and execute a comprehensive country-specific strategy aligned with the overall company vision, strategy and goals.
  2. Identify new business opportunities and market trends to drive growth and competitive advantage.
  3. Collaborate with department directors to align strategies and ensure effective implementation.

Business Development :

  1. Establish and nurture relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive sales and revenue growth based on global company sales strategy.
  2. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform business development strategies.
  3. Increase Market share in different key market segments.
  4. Increase project revenue by incorporating key solutions.

Team Leadership and Management :

  1. Provide strong leadership to the country team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring employee engagement and development.
  2. Set clear performance expectations, follow KPI performance, provide regular feedback to team members, addressing any performance issues and supporting their professional growth.
  3. Collaborate with HR and department directors to optimize team structure, ensure talent retention, and promote a positive work environment.
  4. Within budget communicated by the CFO, develop and manage the country's budget in collaboration with CFO, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost control.
  5. Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as necessary to meet revenue and profitability targets.
  6. Work closely with the finance department to provide accurate financial forecasts and reports.

Stakeholder Management :

  1. Maintain high level communication
  2. Represent the company in external events, conferences, and industry associations, building and maintaining a strong network of relationships.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and departments to ensure smooth coordination and effective communication.

Liaise with the executive team, providing regular updates on country performance, challenges, and opportunities.

Qualifications :

  1. Market knowledge: Having previously worked in the photovoltaic sector.
  2. Financial Management: Proficiency in budgeting, financial planning, and financial reporting to ensure the company’s profitability and financial health.
  3. Sales and Marketing: Strong understanding of sales strategies, marketing tactics, and customer relationship management to drive revenue growth.
  4. Operational Management: Knowledge of managing day-to-day operations, optimizing processes, and ensuring operational efficiency.
  5. Business Development: Skills in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, partnerships, and growth areas.
  6. It is imperative to master English and Spanish. Speaking French would be a very appreciated advantage.
