Formación

We are a startup, and it is important that you are knowledgeable about how startups operate. At this stage, there are more unknowns than certainties, with many aspects to discover and define. You will be part of that process, taking on multiple functions to assist management.

Health has a friendly, open, and collaborative culture with a united team vision. We are seeking a highly skilled In-House Legal Counselor to oversee our legal department. This role involves managing all legal aspects of our operations, focusing on Business Law and Data Protection under GDPR. The ideal candidate will be proficient in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, and will act as our Data Protection Officer to ensure GDPR compliance. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the growth and legal structure of our startup environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, partners, suppliers, and employees to protect company interests.
• Legal Compliance: Ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations, especially regarding business operations and data protection. Conduct risk assessments and provide legal advice to mitigate issues.
• Data Protection: Serve as Data Protection Officer, implementing strategies, managing incidents, and maintaining records in accordance with GDPR.
• Legal Advisory: Provide counsel on intellectual property, employment law, corporate governance, and regulatory matters.
• Policy Development: Develop and update internal policies to reflect current laws, promoting legal and ethical standards.
• Litigation Support: Handle pre-litigation disputes and coordinate with external counsel as needed.
• Training: Conduct staff training on legal compliance, especially GDPR and data protection.
• Cross-Department Support: Collaborate with various teams to ensure legal compliance across the organization.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of legal experience, with strong background in business law and data protection.
• Previous experience as a Data Protection Officer and thorough understanding of GDPR.
• Experience in the technology or health sector is highly preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Full-remote work capability, with communication primarily via Slack or Hangouts.
• Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.

We offer flexible compensation (Cobee), 23 working days per year plus additional days for personal and company reasons, full-time contract, and a collaborative remote work environment.
