Irizar Forge, an industrial company within the Royal Van Beest Group, based in Lazkao (Gipuzkoa), is seeking a Cost Engineer to join our team. You will analyze manufacturing costs for new projects, develop technical drawings, and prepare competitive proposals while ensuring industrial feasibility.

The role requires a mechanical engineering degree, experience in cost studies, SAP, and SolidWorks. Fluency in English (minimum B2) and Basque proficiency are expected, with strong analytical skills,

Formación

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Higher Vocational Training in a relevant technical field. Solid experience in manufacturing processes will be highly valued.
• Experience in preparing cost studies within industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of and experience working with SAP.
• Experience in machining processes will be considered an advantage.
• Experience in creating and modifying technical drawings using SolidWorks will be considered an advantage.
• English: fluent professional level (minimum B2).
• Basque: sufficient proficiency to communicate effectively in a professional environment.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct cost studies for the preparation of quotations, ensuring the technical and economic feasibility of each proposal.
• Configure products and costs in SAP during the quotation phase, and review and interpret technical drawings and specifications provided by customers.
• Create or modify product drawings using SolidWorks when required for quotation development.
• Regularly analyze and update process and product costs, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and improved competitiveness.
• Maintain effective communication with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure the smooth development of quotations.
• Collaborate with the Purchasing department to identify and diversify suppliers that can contribute to improving project competitiveness.
• Provide technical support to the Sales team in preparing proposals and addressing queries related to manufacturing processes and costs.

At Irizar Forge, an industrial company specializing in the manufacture of high-quality forged components for lifting and mooring applications, based in Lazkao (Gipuzkoa) and part of the Royal Van Beest Group, we are looking for a Cost Engineer to join our team.

You will be responsible for analyzing and defining the manufacturing costs associated with new projects, developing technical drawings, and preparing competitive technical and commercial proposals, while ensuring their feasibility from an industrial perspective.

Main responsibilities

• Conduct cost studies for the preparation of quotations, ensuring the technical and economic feasibility of each proposal.
