Fundación Pasqual Maragall is seeking a Corporate Partnerships Program Officer to join our Strategic Alliances team in Barcelona. This role will develop and manage a portfolio of companies, foundations and retail networks, contributing to the sustainability of our projects.

The ideal candidate has fundraising experience and strong interpersonal skills to build lasting partnerships. We require the ability to work autonomously in a hybrid environment.

Formación

• University degree in Business Administration, Communication, Public Relations or similar, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years experience in fundraising or similar roles.
• Ability to plan long‑term and manage budgets.
• Knowledge of CSR/ESG and private sector dynamics.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and manage a portfolio of partner companies, foundations and retail networks.

Corporate Partnerships Program Officer

The Pasqual Maragall Foundation was created in 2008 with the mission of promoting and developing excellent biomedical research. The Foundation is fully committed to being a decisive player in the search for global solutions to the problem of Alzheimer’s and other related dementias, as well as raising awareness so that scientific support for these challenges receives the priority it deserves.

The Foundation's research is carried out in the Barcelonaßeta Brain Research Center (BBRC), a research centre established with the participation of Pompeu Fabra University and la Caixa.

The vision of the Pasqual Maragall Foundation is to achieve “A future without Alzheimer’s”, within the framework of active and healthy ageing, associated with positive experiences and free from cognitive decline. To this end, BBRC research focuses on the primary and secondary prevention of Alzheimer’s, thanks to the participation of thousands of people who voluntarily contribute to scientific studies to ensure that, in the near future, far fewer people will be affected by the disease.

The Pasqual Maragall Foundation is a private, non‑profit organisation. Its financial resources come from philanthropic donations from organisations and companies, as well as from a broad network of more than 100,000 members that contribute to funding research. The centre’s scientific staff also obtains competitive grants and subsidies, mainly from European funds and international foundations.

The Pasqual Maragall Foundation is a young, established and growing organisation that, together with the BBRC, currently brings together more than 250 professionals. The Foundation's team encompasses diverse areas of infrastructure, systems, finance, purchasing, human resources, communications, civic advocacy and philanthropic fundraising. The BBRC scientific team is made up of researchers and professionals from medicine, biology, psychology, nursing and other disciplines, working in a dynamic environment where ongoing challenges are part of everyday life.

Job description

The Pasqual Maragall Foundation is looking for a Corporate Partnerships Program Officer to join our department of Strategic Alliances, within the area of Fundraising. This person will be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of companies, foundations and retail networks, thereby contributing to the sustainability of our projects. They will work closely with the Corporate and Foundation Partnerships Specialist to implement the corporate fundraising strategy and will report to the Strategic Partnerships Manager.

We are looking for someone with experience in corporate fundraising and strong interpersonal skills, who combines business acumen with management and organisational abilities. Their mission will be to manage, cultivate and expand a portfolio of partner companies, foundations and small corporate donors, ensuring a positive experience and a sustainable relationship with the Foundation.

Main responsibilities

• Implement and optimise, together with the specialist in companies and foundations, the corporate fundraising strategy, identifying new opportunities and cultivating existing alliances.
• Ensure that the actions to attract and retain these segments are aligned with the overall strategy.
• Expand the network of small and medium‑sized enterprises and businesses to guarantee sustainable income.
• Develop and present proposals and materials adapted to the profile and level of collaboration of each company.
• Organise visits and presentations for companies and foundations in the Foundation to strengthen the relationship and promote new opportunities for collaboration.
• Ensure regular, high‑quality communication with assigned companies. Define donor journeys for each of them.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of materials and processes.
• Coordinate operational and administrative aspects of the collaborations.
• Register and keep alliance information updated in the CRM.
• Continuously monitor accounts and key performance indicators (KPIs) and participate in the preparation of reports and results analysis.
• Propose improvements and new ways of attracting customers.

Interdepartmental collaboration

• Collaborate with other areas of the fundraising department (data, digital, campaigns) and the Foundation (loyalty, communications, finance, social, legal, etc.) to ensure the success of established partnerships.
• Coordinate with the street and telemarketing team the activation and expansion of collaborations with small businesses, shops and pharmacies.

Requirements

• University degree in Business Administration, Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Studies or similar, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in similar positions in non‑profit or private sector organisations, with proven results in fundraising.
• Short, medium and long term planning ability.
• Budget management and control, to ensure the profitability of the actions carried out.
• Knowledge of the private sector and corporate social responsibility (CSR, ESG) policies.
• Experience in project management, decision making and meeting deadlines.
• Commitment to the mission and values of the Pasqual Maragall Foundation.
• Languages: Catalan and Spanish (native level), and English (upper‑intermediate).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and experience in data analysis tools (Power BI) and CRM systems is a plus.

Characteristics of the position
