Descripción del empleo

We are looking for a person to develop the preparation and execution of R+D+i projects, technological services (analysis and testing, technical advice) and technical training to companies in the Packaging department, Technology area.

What you will do :

  • Functionalization of polymers by compounding processes.
  • Development of thermoplastic compounds. Participate in projects (preparation and execution) as a member of research groups or as a Principal Investigator in the field of Packaging.
  • Identification of project ideas (own or customer's). Preparation of project proposals. Execution and coordination of projects. Preparation of project reports.
  • Ensuring the proper functioning of the equipment he / she manages, including carrying out or supervising preventive and corrective maintenance, internal calibrations, etc.
  • Searching for and selecting new equipment and / or accessories according to needs and possibilities.
  • Participate in scientific dissemination, technology foresight, outreach and communication activities.
  • Participate in training activities related to their knowledge.
  • Carrying out environmental studies within the framework of research projects.
  • Advising companies on environmental legislation and regulations related to the plastics sector.

Your profile

You have high analytical skills, organization, strong communication and influencing skills, initiative, creativity, flexibility, customer orientation, leadership skills, self-motivated and able to independently lead, you are a team player, people oriented (cooperation and empathy).

Education required :

Higher university education, master's degree, preferably PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Environmental Sciences or similar.

Complementary education :

  • Valuable specific Master's degree in plastic materials.
  • Demonstrable high level of English.

Experience required :

  • Advising companies on environmental legislation and regulations related to the plastics sector.
  • Knowledge of plastic material characterization techniques : FTIR, DSC, TGA, optical and electron microscopy, etc. Knowledge in : waste, recycling, eco-design, eco-labeling, environmental legislation, life cycle analysis, carbon footprint and related tools (SimaPro, GaBi).
  • Fluent conversation in English and Spanish.
  • Experience in processing of plastic materials by extrusion / compounding, by injection. Transformation of materials under lamination and printing processes. Characterization of polymeric materials. Modification of polymers. Advanced knowledge in organic chemistry.
