The ideal candidate should have experience and understand what is required of an independent cook in a kitchen. He or she will be responsible for preparing lunches and dinners, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring that dishes are of the highest quality. A minimum of Intermediate or Upper-intermediate (B1-B2) level of English is required.

Main responsibilities include:

• Cooking experience and willingness to support the Chef and colleagues in the kitchen.
• Flexibility and ability to work under pressure at peak times.
• Prioritizing quality in food preparation and hygiene.
• Overseeing washing, vegetable preparation, cleaning, snack preparation, mise en place.
• Assisting the head chef or managing your own section in the kitchen.

Requirements:

• At least an Intermediate or Upper-intermediate (B1-B2) level of English.
• Studies in Gastronomy.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in the gastronomy sector.

What you will receive:

• Contract under Dutch collective agreement.
• Salary ranging from €13 to €15.50 gross per hour (+21 years old), approximately €2,140 to €2,550 gross per month. Tips: €300 net.
• Weekly salary payments.
• Low-cost shared accommodation organized by the employer, around €55-€65 per week, close to the workplace.
• At least 2 meals included during work hours.
• Workweeks averaging between 35 and 60 hours, with high season exceeding 40 hours.
• Work schedule provided by the employer.
• Subsidized health insurance at €33.50 per week.
• Bicycle rental options or provided by the establishment.
• Boat ticket paid by Job Adventure’s partners in the Netherlands.
• Support and assistance in Spanish throughout the process: communication, interviews, and information.
• A paid night in a hostel in Groningen; assistance in managing your BSN number at the city hall.
