Dematic is seeking a Modifications and Upgrades Control Engineer to design and execute controls software for MU projects, including repairs, upgrades, and expansions, with on-site commissioning and customer support.

You will produce PLC software, emulate and test, interpret schematics, and prepare commissioning documentation while traveling up to 70% across Europe.

Formación

• Experience in Electrical/Mechatronics/Controls Engineering is required.
• 1–3 years in a similar role; graduates welcome.
• Hands-on in industrial automation and on-site commissioning.
• Fluent Spanish and English.
• Understanding PLC development tools and safety standards.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver project scope meeting safety, quality, time and budget targets.
• Provide on-site commissioning of controls systems.
• Develop PLC software and visualization systems.
• Emulate and test PLC software and validate with hardware.

Tasks and Qualifications:

• Deliver the assigned project scope and tasks by meeting\exceeding our safety, quality, On-Time-Delivery and budget requirements.
• Provide Support to our customers.
• To produce PLC software and/or visualization systems.
• To emulate and test PLC software.
• To interpret electrical schematics and design input information.
• To commission controls systems on-site including electrical and PLC software commissioning and to provide support to system test activities and training for the end user
• To produce commissioning documentation including, but not limited to, commissioning checklists, test specifications,
• Provide technical guidance.
• To maintain of all associated documentation including, but not limited to, design calculations, design specifications, Method Statements and Risk Assessments, operation and maintenance manuals, and test specifications.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience in Electrical/Mechatronics/Controls Engineering as a minimum.
• 1-3 years of professional experience in a similar role (graduates are also welcome)
• Hands-on experience working within an industrial automation environment.
• Spanish and english fluent.
• Understanding of PLC development tools (Siemens, Rockwell...).
• Good understanding of Electrical and Electronic technical manuals & drawings.
• Understanding of design requirements such as Machine Directive and its standards including safety standards.
• Good understanding of distributed control systems.
• Extensive understanding of software testing and emulation.
• Understanding of automated warehouse desirable but not essential.

Special Conditions:

• Ability to work under minimum supervision.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Cooperate within the team.
• Able to travel 70%.
• Willing to learn about all Dematic subsystems.
• Willing to do small R&D topic.
• Full driver's license to support the travel requirements of the role.
