A leading technology company is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to design and integrate advanced control systems for mechatronic systems, specifically in robotics and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree and 3-5 years of experience, with strong programming skills in C and experience with control systems in embedded environments.

Formación

  • 3-5 years of experience in control systems design.
  • Prior experience in the defence sector is desirable.
  • Advanced English proficiency, Spanish proficiency recommended.

In ARQUIMEA AEROSPACE DEFENCE & SECURITY develops safer and more reliable defense systems through technology,including unmanned aerial systems (UAVs), sensing systems, command and control software, and aiming systems .

We are seeking a Control Systems Engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of advanced control systems and algorithms for mechatronic systems , with a focus on robotics and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) . This role is critical in shaping innovative solutions for guidance , navigation , and stabilization , enhancing the performance and functionality of next-generation technologies. The ideal candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the entire lifecycle of control system development, from concept design to testing and deployment .

Tasks to be performed :

  • Design and specify control systems and algorithms for mechatronic systems , both at guidance and navigation levels and at low-level stabilization (actuator control).
  • Select appropriate sensors and actuators for control systems .
  • Perform integration , processing , and sensor fusion .
  • Support testing by developing test benches , conducting integration campaigns , tuning controllers, and performing analysis .
  • Develop and implement new architectures , products , and solutions .
  • Design and test PCBs .
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation .

Required skills, experience and candidate profile :

Education :

  • University degree or Master’s in Aeronautics , Electronics , Robotics , or a related field.

Technical Skills :

  • Advanced proficiency in C programming .
  • Knowledge of Matlab / Simulink .
  • Experience in control systems programming and implementation on embedded systems (ARM architecture).
  • Familiarity with computer vision .
  • Basic knowledge of electronics .
  • Hands-on experience with sensor selection and integration systems is a plus.
  • Understanding of system modelling and simulation .

Experience :

  • 3-5 years of experience in control systems design , particularly for aerial platforms and their control systems .
  • Prior experience in the defence sector is desirable.

Languages :

  • Advanced English proficiency is essential.
  • Spanish proficiency is highly recommended.

The position is located in our Headquarters of Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid).
