A leading company in the renewable energy sector is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager (EPC) in Madrid. You will oversee contract management for utility-scale projects, negotiate with suppliers, and support the Construction team. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in contract management, fluent in Spanish and English, and at least 7 years in the renewable energy or oil & gas sectors.

Formación

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in contract management.

Are you a seasoned contract management professional with a passion for the renewable energy industry? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! My client is seeking a talented Contracts Manager (EPC) to join their dynamic team in the vibrant city of Madrid, Spain.

The Role of the Contracts Manager (EPC)

As the Contracts Manager (EPC), you will play a crucial role in leading all contractual and commercial activities across the lifecycle of utility-scale renewable energy projects. Your primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Overseeing the preparation, review, and issuance of RFQ packages for various project components
  • Managing the clarification process with bidders and ensuring timely resolution of queries
  • Conducting commercial evaluations and leading contract negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Drafting, reviewing, and executing contract documents and managing contractual modifications
  • Monitoring and managing the issuance and receipt of Bank Guarantees
  • Providing strategic support to the Construction team on contract administration and claims management
Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Industrial, or related fields)
  • Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken)
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in contract management within the renewable energy or oil & gas sectors
  • Strong understanding of contract law, risk management, procurement practices, and construction-related legal considerations
  • Proven experience leading contract negotiation and administration, including claims resolution and dispute management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels
  • High level of autonomy, analytical thinking, and decision-making ability
  • Full Spanish Working Rights
