As a Contract Analyst, you will join the world’s largest & most comprehensive clinical research organization, powered by healthcare intelligence.

The Contracts group aims to provide clinical trial site budget and contract negotiations, purchase order creation, and payment support for clinical trial and medical research consulting agreements with institutions, investigators, and consultants worldwide.

Our vision is to develop clinical trial and medical research agreements through effective negotiations, timely execution, and accurate payments, while ensuring compliance with sponsor policies.

The Contract Analyst is responsible for overseeing specific clinical contract activities, including providing process guidance, conducting negotiations and analyses, facilitating compliance, and pursuing process improvements. They must balance controls with a streamlined, customer-focused, and timely contracting process.

What you will be doing:
  1. Contract Negotiations: Communicate and negotiate contracts with site, team, or affiliate personnel, including:
  • Communicating sponsor’s position on contract issues, identifying relationship opportunities, securing site contracts, collecting feedback, and facilitating communication; assisting with difficult negotiations and follow-up.
  • Negotiating complex contracts, such as Phase I, PET Studies, Oncology Cooperatives, and Endocrine portfolio sites.
  • Reviewing and approving contract exceptions with sponsor partners.
  • Training and Documentation: Maintain and conduct contract-related training, including:
    • Developing and implementing training for new analysts and customers.
    • Creating and maintaining contract templates, process documentation, and legal guidance documents.
    • Mentoring contract analysts to enhance negotiation skills.
  • Clinical Trial Contract Guidance: Provide guidance to sponsor business partners by:
    • Developing process documentation.
    • Facilitating quality, speed, and value through information sharing and alignment with policies.
    • Hosting meetings with contracting groups.
    • Serving as the primary contact for interactions between TC and sponsor legal teams regarding process changes and documentation.
  • Process Improvements: Identify and implement improvements by:
    • Standardizing and streamlining contract activities and using metrics to drive improvements.
    • Sharing learning to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Evaluating issues and opportunities to anticipate changes and make recommendations to management.
    You are:
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 3-5 years of experience in contract negotiation
    • Thorough understanding of GDPR and privacy regulations
    • Experience negotiating privacy clauses in clinical research
    • Experience working with global teams and partners
    • Strong organizational, analytical, negotiation, and critical thinking skills
    • Process-oriented
