Gurit, a leading manufacturer and supplier of advanced composite materials, seeks a Continuous Improvement Senior Process Engineer for its Falces site in Navarra, Spain.

You will act as senior technical expert in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing, partnering with production, quality, maintenance and engineering to optimize processes, monitor KPIs and sustain improvements.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in Process/Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, D365, Power BI and Alphacam.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Experience leading CI projects in manufacturing.
• CAD/CAM software experience; wood machining desirable.
• Experience with 2D/3D CAD software and Lean/CI methodologies.

Responsabilidades

• Identify and implement CI opportunities using Lean, Six Sigma, root cause analysis and Kaizen.
• Support production, quality, maintenance and engineering to improve productivity and quality.
• Perform process characterization, capability analyses and establish control limits.
• Monitor KPIs, investigate deviations and drive corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain process docs, SOPs and training materials.
• Mentor operators, technicians and junior engineers on process consistency.
• Participate in cross-functional projects to improve performance and cost efficiency.
• Support sustainability and operational excellence standards across the site.

Purpose of the function:

Act as a senior technical expert in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing, supporting operational excellence initiatives across the site. Partner with production, quality, maintenance and engineering teams to optimize processes, improve performance, standardize best practices, and sustain operational improvements through data-driven decision-making and KPI monitoring.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Identify, analyze and implement continuous improvement opportunities using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, root cause analysis (5 Why, A3), PFMEA, control plans and Kaizen events.
• Support manufacturing teams in eliminating process inefficiencies, non-value-added activities, Muda, Muri and Mura to improve productivity, quality, safety and operational performance.
• Perform process characterization studies, process capability analyses, tolerance stack-up evaluations and statistical assessments to define robust process windows and control limits.
• Monitor production and process KPIs, identify deviations and recommend corrective and preventive actions to improve overall equipment and process effectiveness.
• Develop, update and maintain process documentation including SOPs, work instructions, engineering change notices and training materials.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to operators, technicians and junior engineers to ensure process consistency and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving manufacturing performance, product quality, cost efficiency and process reliability.
• Support the implementation and sustainability of operational excellence standards throughout the site.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Organizational Engineering preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective time management and prioritization capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, D365, Power BI and Alphacam.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or Continuous Improvement Engineer.
• Proven experience leading technical continuous improvement projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software; wood machining experience is desirable.
• Experience working with 2D and 3D CAD software.
• Demonstrated success implementing Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
