We are looking for a suitable candidate to fill the Content Manager role for the number 1 website for Mallorca – abc-mallorca.com and the luxury lifestyle magazines – abcMallorca and Helen Cummins. This job is as much about project management as it is about writing well-researched, engaging content, so applicants need to be strong in both aspects to successfully fulfill this role.

What the job entails

As the person responsible for the creation and coordination of all the published content of abcMallorca’s trilingual magazine & website (English, Spanish & German), the main task is writing well-researched, interesting content for all our platforms including websites, magazines, social media, and newsletters. In addition, the job involves : commissioning copywriting when required, ensuring SEO requirements are adhered to, requesting translations and photos to meet tight deadlines and high-quality standards. In addition, there are the online marketing aspects of the job including social media, newsletter publication, advertorial content, and marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities

• The management of all the available editorial resources to meet tight deadlines and high standards.
• Being involved in the process of defining new content requirements for the web and magazine while maintaining existing content up-to-date.
• Coordinating, commissioning, and managing new content and updates as well as overseeing translations and dealing with 3rd party suppliers when required.
• The successful candidate will be able to write / edit at a high level in English, in addition to being able to edit and proof the content.

• Speaks and writes English and Spanish fluently.
• Good local knowledge and a passion for the island and all it has to offer.
• Ability to write well-researched, interesting content for the web & magazine.
• Familiar with SEO requirements and how it works in practice.
• Experience of working in digital marketing and using the necessary tools to get the best results.
• High level of proficiency in WordPress and MailChimp.
• Excellent project management, communication, and people skills.
• Experience in a media / publishing environment is a big advantage.
• Good knowledge & experience in creating online and offline marketing content.

Type of contract : Permanent contract, full-time position (9 : 00 – 18 : 00h) located in Palma centre.
