Role: Implementation Director - Food and Beverage Global Business Unit Consulting
This role is responsible for managing a team of Implementation Consultants and Consulting Implementation Managers, ensuring quality work at customer sites. The director has a broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes, or industry technology products. They monitor team performance and serve as a project advisor for complex engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Oracle POS implementation projects for clients in the Food and Beverage industry, overseeing technical and resource aspects.
- Perform complex duties requiring independent judgment to implement Oracle products and meet customer needs.
- Consult effectively with customer management and act as the primary contact for customers and internal teams, including handling escalations.
- Lead managers within a territory or region and participate in strategic planning for the division.
- Develop and execute regional strategic plans under guidance from senior leadership.
- Coach, manage performance, and support career development of staff to drive project success.
- Participate in recruiting and provide hiring recommendations.
- Demonstrate expertise across multiple business processes within a product family.
- Ensure operational policies are followed, focusing on best practices and process improvements.
- Guide customers through successful migration to Oracle POS and support transition post-project.
- Manage project scope, adjust as necessary, and ensure adherence to processes and procedures.
- Review project financials, manage data quality, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee travel requirements and expenses, ensuring alignment with budgets.
- Contribute technical insights for sales estimations and customer enablement.
- Ensure project deliverables are completed within budget and as per plan, managing risks effectively.
- Provide direction and support to the implementation team and managers.
Job Requirements
- Experience managing large, complex system projects through all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Ability to perform complex duties with independent judgment to implement Oracle solutions.
- Preferred experience with Delivery Methodology in an IT context.
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing managers responsible for project and customer success.
- Excellent communication skills and strong relationship management abilities.
- Technical or product expertise relevant to the role.
- Ability to relate to customers, understand their needs, and build rapport within teams.
- Proven track record of delivering results in resource-sharing environments.
Qualifications
- Four-year degree preferred.
- 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in Food and Beverage industry in a supervisory role is desirable.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% or more.
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
- Results-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple requests effectively.
