Cognizant in Madrid is seeking a Consultant Lead with 10-13 years of experience to design and evolve complex payment product architectures for a global technology organization. You will apply deep payments knowledge to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant solutions that support business growth.

In a hybrid work model, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide product teams, review designs, and mentor engineers.

Formación

• Deep hands-on experience in payments product architecture including transaction routing and settlement
• Understanding of cards and payments domain concepts such as issuer acquirer switch schemes wallets and tokenization
• Ten to thirteen years in architecting complex enterprise grade solutions centered on large scale payment systems
• Knowledge of integration patterns for payment gateways APIs message queues and batch processing
• Experience with relational and non-relational data stores for transaction data reconciliation and analytics
• Hybrid work model across locations time zones and functions using modern collaboration tools
• Strong communication and documentation skills to articulate architectural options risks and trade-offs
• Familiarity with API-first design and microservice architectures in payment ecosystems

Responsabilidades

• Drive end-to-end payment product architecture definition aligned with enterprise standards and regulatory expectations
• Design scalable secure blueprints for payments processing covering authorization clearing settlement and exception handling
• Guide product teams on decomposing payment requirements into modular services that can be developed and deployed independently
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate needs into architectural decisions and roadmaps
• Review solution designs to ensure adherence to patterns coding practices and integration standards
• Evaluate new technologies and third-party services for architectural fit and long-term value
• Work with security compliance and risk teams to embed controls for fraud prevention data protection and reporting
• Create and maintain architecture documentation including context diagrams data flow diagrams and interface contracts
• Partner with infrastructure and operations teams to optimize performance and observability for payment flows
• Provide expert guidance during production incidents and mentor engineers on payments domain patterns
• Explain architectural decisions to client-facing teams highlighting reliability and business value
• Align solution design with sustainable engineering practices to minimize operational overhead

Responsibilities :

• Drive end to end payment product architecture definition that aligns with enterprise standards regulatory expectations and performance objectives for global payment solutions
• Design scalable and secure solution blueprints for payments processing that address authorization clearing settlement and exception handling with high reliability

Qualifications

• Exhibit deep hands on experience in payments product architecture including transaction routing authorization risk checks and settlement across diverse channels
• Apply strong understanding of cards and payments domain concepts such as issuer acquirer switch schemes wallets and tokenization to design effective product capabilities
• Demonstrate proven experience of ten to thirteen years in architecting complex enterprise grade solutions ideally centered on large scale payment systems
• Utilize solid knowledge of integration patterns for payment gateways apis message queues and batch processing to enable reliable connectivity with internal and external partners
• Show proficiency in working with relational and non relational data stores for transaction data reconciliation data lineage and analytics focused on payment products
