INTEC Energy Solutions is seeking a highly motivated HV Project Manager to lead the delivery of High Voltage infrastructure for utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects across Australia.

The role covers engineering through commissioning, requiring a strong track record in HV substations, transformers, GIS/AIS switchgear, and grid connection developments. International travel will be essential to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience managing HV infrastructure projects within EPC environments.
• Proven track record delivering utility-scale Solar PV, BESS, substation, transmission, or power generation projects.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) and willingness to travel internationally.

Responsabilidades

• Lead planning, execution, and successful delivery of HV works for utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects.
• Manage all phases of HV project delivery, including engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, energization, and close-out.
• Oversee HV substations, power transformers, GIS/AIS switchgear, protection and control systems, HV cable systems, and grid connection infrastructure.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual, technical, quality, and HSE requirements.
• Develop and manage project execution plans, schedules, budgets, procurement strategies, risk registers, and progress reporting.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, Quality, HSE, Commercial, and Project Controls.
• Coordinate closely with clients, Owner's Engineers, utilities, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HV Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of High Voltage (HV) infrastructure for utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across Australia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of HV EPC projects, from engineering and procurement through construction, commissioning, and project close-out. This role requires extensive experience in HV substations, transmission systems, and grid connection infrastructure, together with strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of High Voltage (HV) works for utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects.
• Manage all phases of HV project delivery, including engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, energization, and project close-out.
• Oversee the delivery of HV substations, power transformers, GIS/AIS switchgear, protection and control systems, HV cable systems, transmission lines, and grid connection infrastructure.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual, technical, quality, and HSE requirements.
• Develop and manage project execution plans, schedules, budgets, procurement strategies, risk registers, and progress reporting.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, Quality, HSE, Commercial, and Project Controls.
• Manage project risks, contractual variations, claims, change orders, and mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate closely with clients, Owner's Engineers, utilities, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Monitor project performance, identify critical issues, and implement corrective actions to achieve project objectives.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Australian and/or New Zealand regulations, utility requirements, grid codes, and international engineering standards.
• Lead project meetings, technical reviews, commercial discussions, and stakeholder communications.
• Support project handover, final documentation, lessons learned, and project completion activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience managing High Voltage infrastructure projects within EPC environments.
• Proven track record delivering utility-scale Solar PV, BESS, substation, transmission, or power generation projects.
• Strong technical understanding of:
• HV substations
• Power transformers
• GIS/AIS switchgear
• Protection and control systems
• HV cable systems
• Transmission networks
• Grid connection infrastructure
• Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary EPC project teams.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge, including procurement, contract administration, claims, change management, and project cost control.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in project planning, scheduling, and reporting tools.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel internationally and work on project sites as required.

Preferred Experience

• Experience delivering HV grid connection infrastructure for utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects.
• Knowledge of Australian and transmission, utility, and grid connection standards.
• Experience working with international EPC contractors on large-scale renewable energy projects.
• Experience leading multicultural and geographically dispersed project teams.
