JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members and ensure proper execution.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Review and approve invoices, change orders, and financial reports.
- Identify and mitigate cost overruns or financial risks.
- Ensure that construction work meets design specifications, building codes, and quality standards.
- Resolve any defects or deficiencies in a timely.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate hazards.
- Ensure all permits, licenses, and legal requirements are obtained and maintained.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Address and resolve any conflicts or concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, contracts, and correspondence.
- Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders and senior management.
- Ensure proper documentation for project closeout and handover.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Education: Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM) are a plus.
- Experience: Proven experience in construction management or a similar role, with a track record of successfully delivering projects.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and make critical decisions under pressure.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address challenges effectively.
- Time Management: Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with construction management software and tools like MS Project or AutoCAD.

Work Environment:
- Split between office settings and construction sites.
- May require extended hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on project demands.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions and construction site hazards.

Career Path:
A Construction Manager may advance to senior roles such as Project Director, Operations Manager, or Vice President of Construction, depending on experience and performance.
