Ingram Micro, S.L.U. seeks an experienced assembly specialist in Tarragona to assemble electronic and electro-mechanical units in line with product specifications.

You will follow procedures, apply wiring, soldering and cable-harnessing techniques, and ensure conformance to tolerances while diagnosing and correcting malfunctions as needed. Leadership and mentoring of peers may be involved.

Formación

• Two year college degree or equivalent experience and minimum five years’ functional experience.
• HS diploma or equivalent with at least 8 years of functional experience including 4 years in position-specific duties.

Job Description: Position Summary:

Assembles electronic or electro-mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies or products according to product specifications. Follows established procedures and applies knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures in wiring, soldering, component installation, and cable harnessing to assemble units. Ensures conformance to specified tolerances. May disassemble and correct malfunctions. Other responsibilities may include the assembly of test kits or other packing/labeling tasks.

Problems typically are not routine and require analysis, judgment and initiative. Makes minor adjustments and enhancements to working methods to improve effectiveness of area. Provides administrative or technical support at a specialist level. Incumbents are highly proficient in a broad range of activities related to their job. May act as a lead or mentor to more junior technical or administrative support personnel. Consistently works on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues. Makes recommendations for new procedures. Incumbents independently perform a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. Known in the department/group as the “knowledge base” of information. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments. Often acts as a facilitator and team leader.
