Job summary

Grand Hyatt Barcelona is seeking a Conference Concierge Trainee to join our Meetings & Events team for a six-month internship starting in September. You will be the on-site contact for meeting planners, coordinate logistics with banqueting, kitchen, AV, and housekeeping, and help set up and break down spaces according to client specs.

Ideal candidates are university students in Hospitality or Tourism, fluent in Spanish and English, organized, calm under pressure, and eager to deliver

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled at a university in Hospitality, Events, or Tourism.
• Available to start in September for a 6-month internship.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Be the main on-site contact for meeting planners and event organizers.
• Coordinate event logistics with banqueting, kitchen, AV, and housekeeping departments.
• Support the setup and breakdown of meeting spaces according to client specifications.
• Ensure service runs smoothly and all client requests are addressed in real time.
• Assist with signage, materials, and documentation for events.
• Maintain event documentation and daily reports for internal communication.
• Deliver top-tier guest service with a warm, solution-oriented approach.
• Represent the Grand Hyatt brand with professionalism and personality.

Who You Are:

• A current university student (preferably studying Hospitality, Events, or Tourism)
• Available to start in September for a 6-month internship
• Fluent in Spanish and English
• Organized, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure
• A confident communicator who thrives in guest-facing roles
• Proactive, flexible, and comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Able to sign a university internship agreement
• Legally authorized to work in Spain or enrolled in an EU internship program
