We are seeking a Compliance Legal Specialist to join our Legal & Compliance Europe team. The role involves :

• Assessing financial, operational, and legal risks, developing strategies to manage potential issues, and advising on prevention, detection, and response.
• Providing regular reports on the effectiveness of compliance measures across our European and African divisions.
• Updating and maintaining the compliance risk map.
• Developing, implementing, and managing the organization’s compliance program and the Ethics and Compliance Committee’s agenda.
• Managing whistleblowing channels, supporting investigations related to potential non-compliance with the Code of Conduct, in collaboration with Internal Control.
• Leading compliance projects and participating in offices on Competition Law and Data Protection.
• Ensuring compliance with policies, guidelines, procedures, and standards in Europe and Africa.
• Designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs to promote compliance awareness and culture.
• Collaborating with the Head Office Compliance Manager.
• Reviewing data processing agreements, drafting data protection clauses, conducting balancing tests, and assessing data retention periods.

Requirements

Qualifications :

• Degree in Law with specific compliance certification or qualification.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in French is highly valuable.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a compliance role, preferably within FMCG / Food industry; background in commercial and corporate law is essential. Capabilities in Data Protection / Privacy are a plus.
