Zurich Insurance Group, via ServiZurich, seeks a Compliance Assurance Senior Manager based in Barcelona. You will lead risk-based assurance across Europe and the Middle East, guiding governance, controls, and remediation actions in a highly collaborative, international environment.

The role offers a hybrid work model, with exposure to diverse jurisdictions and senior leadership, driving continuous improvement in the assurance program and reporting to governance committees.

Formación

• 8+ years of experience in Compliance, Internal Audit, Risk Management, Assurance, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks within insurance or financial services.
• Experience leading complex assurance, audit, monitoring, or review activities.
• Understanding of risk assessment methodologies, internal controls, and governance.
• Ability to engage, influence, and challenge senior stakeholders across functions and jurisdictions.

Responsabilidades

• Lead development and execution of a risk-based Compliance Assurance plan aligned with regulatory requirements and business priorities across the Region.
• Manage and oversee assurance reviews across multiple risk areas with high quality standards.
• Assess effectiveness of controls, governance arrangements, and risk mitigation activities.
• Provide independent challenge and insights to management on risks and remediation actions.
• Prepare and present assurance reports and management information to senior stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Internal Audit, Risk Management, and other assurance providers for integrated approaches.

As a Compliance Assurance Senior Manager, you will play a key role in driving Zurich’s Compliance Assurance programme across the Europe and Middle East region, helping ensure that Compliance Risks are effectively identified, managed, and mitigated. In this role, you will lead the execution of risk-based assurance activities, partner with Local Compliance Officers and business stakeholders, and contribute to the continuous enhancement of Zurich’s Compliance Programme. You will have the opportunity to work across multiple jurisdictions, engage with senior leadership, and help shape a strong culture of accountability, governance, and continuous improvement. Working within a highly collaborative and international environment, you will provide valuable insights that support informed decision making and strengthen the overall control environment. • Lead the development and execution of a risk-based Compliance Assurance plan aligned with regulatory requirements, compliance risks, and business priorities across the Region.
• Manage and oversee assurance reviews across multiple compliance risk areas, ensuring delivery to the highest quality standards.
• Assess the effectiveness of compliance controls, governance arrangements, and risk mitigation activities.
• Provide independent challenge and insight to business management on compliance risks, control weaknesses, and remediation actions.
• Prepare and present assurance reports, thematic reviews, and management information to senior stakeholders and governance committees.
• Support the Compliance Risk Assessment process by identifying emerging risks, trends, and areas requiring additional assurance focus.
• Coordinate with Internal Audit, Risk Management, and other assurance providers to deliver an integrated and efficient assurance approach.
• Monitor the timely implementation of management actions arising from assurance reviews and elevate significant issues where appropriate.
• Drive continuous improvement of assurance methodologies, testing techniques, reporting standards, and quality assurance practices.
• Coach and develop assurance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous learning.
• Work alongside experts in various technological domains.

• 8+ years of experience in Compliance, Internal Audit, Risk Management, Assurance, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks within the insurance or financial services industry.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex assurance, audit, monitoring, or review activities.
• Excellent understanding of risk assessment methodologies, internal controls, and governance frameworks.
• Proven ability to engage, influence, and challenge senior stakeholders across multiple functions and jurisdictions.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes, emerging risks, and practical remediation solutions.
• Experience working within a multinational and matrixed environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in both written and verbal formats.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, Audit, or a related field.
• Professional qualifications such as CAMS or equivalent would be advantageous.
• Fluent English skills are mandatory.
• Additional languages would be considered an advantage.
