About the department: The Marketing Department within BYD Spain is responsible for developing and implementing tailored marketing strategies to drive performance in Spain and deliver results that meet business objectives. Our team works collaboratively to optimize brand visibility, increase market share, and drive business growth within the Spanish market.

The Role: This role is focused on building and nurturing a vibrant community for BYD owners while also supporting the broader social media strategy for BYD Spain. The ideal candidate will be a passionate communicator, adept at creating engaging content and fostering positive relationships both online and offline.

Key objectives and responsibilities:

  • Community Management (Club BYD):
    • Develop, launch, and manage the "Club BYD," an exclusive community for BYD vehicle owners in Spain.

    • Create and curate exclusive content (articles, newsletters, videos) and benefits for club members.

    • Plan and execute online and offline events, meetups, and unique experiences for the community.

    • Moderate community platforms, stimulating conversation, and ensuring a positive and respectful environment.

    • Act as the primary point of contact for the owner community, gathering feedback and insights to share with the wider marketing and product teams.

  • Social Media Collaboration:
    • Work in close collaboration with the Social Media Specialist to manage and execute the organic social media strategy for BYD Spain across platforms like Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn.

    • Assist in the creation, planning, and scheduling of engaging social media content that aligns with our brand voice.

    • Monitor social media channels for customer comments and inquiries, providing timely and helpful responses.

    • Analyze and report on community growth and engagement metrics across social platforms.

Key results:

  • Successful launch and sustained growth of the "Club BYD" community.

  • Increased owner satisfaction, loyalty, and advocacy for the BYD brand.

  • Measurable improvement in engagement rates and positive sentiment on BYD Spain's social media channels.

  • Generation of valuable qualitative insights from the owner community to inform business strategy.

The Person: We are looking for a creative and empathetic Community and Social Specialist to be the voice of our brand to our most loyal customers. This person will be dedicated to building a best-in-class owner community through "Club BYD" and will play a key role in strengthening our organic presence on social media. You will be a team player, working closely with the marketing team to turn customers into passionate brand advocates.

Your profile:

  • University Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.

  • 2-4 years of experience in community management, social media management, or a similar role.

  • Effective and fluent communicator in both Spanish and English (written and spoken).

  • Proven experience building, growing, and moderating online communities.

  • In-depth knowledge of major social media platforms and their best practices.

  • Excellent copywriting and content creation skills, with a keen eye for detail.

  • A customer-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proactive, resilient, and open-minded, with efficient time management skills.

  • Results-oriented, with the ability to work towards deadlines and take a hands-on approach.
