Job summary

GE Healthcare in Madrid is seeking a curious Communications Apprentice to support internal and external communications across Spain and Portugal. You will gain hands-on experience in a multinational healthcare technology company, collaborating with the Europe Communications team and HR stakeholders.

You will assist in internal content, town halls, media relations, social media, events and executive visibility, with a focus on clear, audience-tailored messaging and learning within a regulated

Qualifications

• Degree completed or in progress in a relevant field; last 3 years.
• Must have finished degree/vocational training or equivalent in the last 3 years and must not have had this contract before.
• Native-level Spanish and strong written and spoken skills.
• Strong writing and storytelling; ability to simplify complex information.
• Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage several tasks.
• Interest in healthcare, technology and corporate communications.
• Proactive, collaborative approach and willingness to learn.
• Comfort using Microsoft 365 tools; experience with social media or basic design/video tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the creation and publication of internal communications content (employee news, newsletters, announcements).
• Help coordinate town halls, employee engagement initiatives and internal campaigns.
• Work with business and HR stakeholders to tailor messages for target audiences.
• Monitor communication effectiveness and report metrics to HR/board.
• Help draft and review external communications: press releases, articles, interviews.
• Support media relations and executive visibility initiatives; collaborate with agencies.
• Support content creation for social media with Europe Communications team.
• Provide logistical and communications support for internal events.
