Siemens Mobility Spain seeks a COMMS Engineer to join the railway communication infrastructure group, focusing on fixed and radio transport solutions for large international projects. You will analyze requirements, design architectures, and lead system integrations to guarantee connectivity across mobility networks.

You will draft detailed technical documentation, support commissioning, and assist operations, while traveling as needed and adapting to occasional weekend hours to meet project

Formación

  • Two or more key requirements: 5+ years in rollout of railway comms networks (Gigabit Ethernet, SDH, MPLS) and radiocommunications; strong testing/commissioning background; ability to draft precise technical docs.

Responsabilidades

  • Analyze project requirements to design optimal comms solutions.
  • Develop technical specifications and system architectures.
  • Lead integration with third-party technologies and ensure smooth operation.
  • Act as technical liaison with customers and contractors, building relationships.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve wired and wireless network issues.
  • Provide expert support during commissioning and ongoing operations.

Your Mission in Our Team

As a COMMS Engineer, you will join the railway communication infrastructure area, taking on a fundamental role in the development and deployment of communication transport solutions (fixed and radio) for large-scale international railway projects. Your talent will ensure the essential connectivity for the mobility of the future.

  • Analyze project requirements in depth to design optimal solutions.
  • Develop precise technical specifications and innovative system architectures.
  • Lead the integration of our systems with third-party technologies, ensuring flawless operation.
  • Act as a trusted technical liaison with customers and other contractors, building solid relationships.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in both wired and wireless systems.
  • Provide expert technical support during the commissioning phase and throughout the operation of the systems.
What Will Make Your Application Stand Out
  • Solid experience (minimum 5 years) in the roll-out of communication networks (Gigabit Ethernet, SDH, MPLS, etc.) and radiocommunication systems (with special emphasis on GSM‑R, TETRA, and IEEE 802.11‑based technologies).
  • Proven skill in executing onsite testing and commissioning.
  • Analytical capability for network troubleshooting using advanced tools like Wireshark.
  • Fluent command of English, both conversational and written, essential for navigating our global environment.
  • Ability to draft and manage project technical documentation with a high level of detail.
  • Availability to travel and flexibility to adapt to sporadic weekend or night shifts, according to project needs.
