Job summary

Siemens Mobility busca un Ingeniero de Comunicaciones para unirse al área de infraestructura de comunicación ferroviaria. Diseñarás soluciones de transporte de comunicaciones (fijas y radio) para grandes proyectos internacionales y asegurarás la conectividad necesaria para la movilidad futura.

Se requiere al menos 5 años de experiencia en despliegue de redes y sistemas de radiocomunicación (GSM-R, TETRA, IEEE 802.11).

Qualifications

• Experiencia mínima de 5 años en el despliegue de redes de comunicación y sistemas de radiocomunicación (GSM‑R, TETRA, IEEE 802.11).
• Habilidad probada en pruebas y puesta en servicio in situ.
• Capacidad analítica para solucionar fallos de red con herramientas avanzadas como Wireshark.
• Dominio del inglés, hablado y escrito, imprescindible en un entorno global.
• Capacidad para redactar y gestionar documentación técnica de proyectos con alto nivel de detalle.
• Disponibilidad para viajar y flexibilidad para turnos nocturnos o fines de semana según necesidades de proyecto.
• Certificaciones de proveedores de red (p. ej., Cisco CCNA/CCNP) serán valoradas.

Responsibilities

• Analizar requisitos del proyecto para diseñar soluciones óptimas.
• Desarrollar especificaciones técnicas y arquitecturas de sistema.
• Liderar la integración de nuestros sistemas con tecnologías de terceros.
• Actuar como enlace técnico con clientes y contratistas.
• Resolver incidencias de red en sistemas cableados e inalámbricos.
• Brindar soporte técnico durante la puesta en marcha y operación de los sistemas.

Your Mission in Our Team

As a COMMS Engineer, you will join the railway communication infrastructure area, taking on a fundamental role in the development and deployment of communication transport solutions (fixed and radio) for large-scale international railway projects. Your talent will ensure the essential connectivity for the mobility of the future.

Challenges That Await

• Analyze project requirements in depth to design optimal solutions.
• Develop precise technical specifications and innovative system architectures.
• Lead the integration of our systems with third-party technologies, ensuring flawless operation.
• Act as a trusted technical liaison with customers and other contractors, building solid relationships.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in both wired and wireless systems.
• Provide expert technical support during the commissioning phase and throughout the operation of the systems.

What Will Make Your Application Stand Out

• Solid experience (minimum 5 years) in the roll‑out of communication networks (Gigabit Ethernet, SDH, MPLS, etc.) and radiocommunication systems (with special emphasis on GSM‑R, TETRA, and IEEE 802.11‑based technologies).
• Proven skill in executing onsite testing and commissioning.
• Analytical capability for network troubleshooting using advanced tools like Wireshark.
• Fluent command of English, both conversational and written, essential for navigating our global environment.
• Ability to draft and manage project technical documentation with a high level of detail.
• Availability to travel and flexibility to adapt to sporadic weekend or night shifts, according to project needs.
• You’ll thrive even more if you also bring Recognized network vendor certifications (e.G., Cisco CCNA/CCNP), which validate your technical knowledge.
